How I found the love of my life!

IndiaA true believer the law of attraction
I had never really had stable long term relationships, but I continued to believe I would be married to a man out of love and not through an arranged marriage (that’s a common norm in India, wherein your parents match you with a worthy spouse).
But towards the end of 2010, I was not in any relationships and my parents started to pressurize me to get married. And since I had no boyfriends to introduce them to, they decided to take things in their hands and started to send me pictures of boys they had liked and even started meeting up with a couple of them.
This put me in a state of despair for I could not believe that I would eventually have to marry a man that I did not love. Around the same time, they showed the video of The Secret at my office. I had heard about it before, had read the book partially but had never truly applied it. But given the situation I decided to give it a shot.
I jotted down all the qualities that I was looking for in my dream man and almost instantly a classmate of mine from graduation started to get in touch with me since he was in town. We had never been friends in college but had started chatting with each other online over the last couple of years.
We decided to meet up and started meeting and hanging out almost everyday after that. It was just perfect, but we still hadn’t categorized our relationship and where it was going. One day I asked him, where we were going with this and he said ‘This won’t lead to marriage’. At that point in time he did’t want to marry at all. But inspite of it, I continued to believe that since The Secret had brought him to me, there had to be more to this relationship. I never stopped believing.
But something changed his mind along the way, he started talking about getting married and took me to meet his family.
Today, we are married and living a blissful life. The wedding went perfectly and our families were happy with the marriage even though we belong to different religions (which is a big thing in India).
To all the people out there who are looking for their perfect match, don’t stop believing and leave it to the universe to bring you what’s best for you.
Thank you Rhonda Byrne for introducing the world to The Secret. Am going to use it next to find my dream job, which I know I will be joining on Sept 1, 2012. Will be posting about it soon. 🙂
