I want to start of by thanking God for bringing awareness to the author of The Secret and for allowing her to spread her message to the world. My life is completely different once I coupled my faith and religion with The Secret.

LIFE BEFORE THE SECRET: I have always been an avid lover of science and every since I was 3 years old I wanted to be a pediatrician. I started college with great tenacity but with the pressures of life and a few hardships, I began losing sight of what I really wanted. Eventually I was satisfied with just graduating. Biology is a difficult major and the likelihood of being accepted to a med school with mediocre grades and few activities was depressing me and I gave up my dream of becoming a doctor.

Something inside me told me I could do better. I focused on doing better again and uplifting my spirit. I envisioned checking my final grades online and the were all passing grades. I envisioned myself walking across the stage receiving my bachelors and I would look up into the sea of people and see my loved ones jumping up and down cheering for me. I found the determination to finish school on a high note and despite not having the money to finish my last 2 semesters or pay the fees to graduate and constantly being told no. Everything seemed to work in my favor, I did it! The Secret worked for me before I even knew about it.

LIFE AFTER THE SECRET: My boyfriend introduced me to The Secret movie shortly after Christmas of 2011. I was amazed. I felt an instant power and decided to apply it immediately. Two weeks before I saw The Secret I applied to a chiropractor school that I really wanted to go to. I switched from my focus of pediatrics to chiropractic because I no longer believed in traditional medicine. I didn’t think I could get in because I didn’t meet the requirements. When I sent off my application on December 5th I prayed and hoped for the best but in the back of my mind I thought I wouldn’t be accepted.

The application arrived in time for the December 7th deadline. I purposely waited until the last minute to send it because I would’ve rather been hurt that it didn’t get to the school in time enough to asses than to be rejected. An admissions officer emailed me asking for my transcripts as soon as possible so that I could start school January 9th. Again I waited until the last minute and I didn’t know whether they were received or not because my college and my potential new school were both closed for winter break. I was so nervous until I saw The Secret.

January 3rd rolled around and I found out that they hadn’t processed my transcripts because they were received too late to review and if I was accepted my start date would have to be pushed back one quarter. I took that opportunity to stop being scared and make the universe work for me. I made a fake acceptance letter with the schools logo. I even typed up a diploma with my name and my projected date of graduation. I hung it up on my vision board and envisioned my life at this school from Orientation to Graduation.

On January 25th I was accepted with the stipulation of retaking two classes for better grades. In 3 and a half years I will be Dr. Tiff B.S., D.C. all because of a little faith. My new goal is to buy a house near my school, receive financial aid and grants and graduate Summa Cum Laude. All you have to do is BELIEVE! Ask, believe, receive it is so real and it will work for you.
