The Secret changed my life!
Submitted by: Lauren Ewing
Nashvillle TNI am an animal lover, love helping people and have recently turned my life around by using The Secret.
A few months ago I was in a completely different place. I hated my job; saw no way out, was working long hours, depressed, and felt stuck and was literally killing myself with my thinking. I then found out I had to have surgery. There were tumors on my ovaries and they didn’t know if I would be able to keep them or not. I had to quit my job as a nurse due to the pain and I decided that every day in the two weeks before surgery I would visualize them being healthy and happy, and would really feel what that felt like. I had the surgery and in recovery the doctor told me that both tumors had shrunk by 2 centimeters and that they both literally just fell off when she went to cut them. They were not benign, they were diagnosed as borderline ovarian cancer which I didn’t even know existed. After surgery it became clear to me that I was not going to be able to go back to nursing.
I knew I wanted to work for myself and do something that gave me the financial freedom to help others. One day I was on the couch crying feeling so helpless, and I knew I could not resign myself to slaving away at a job that I hated, but I was broke so what else was I going to do? I literally asked out loud PLEASE, what can I do? Show me! A little voice in my head said “read The Secret.” That seemed odd because I had that book for years, I had never really put it to use. But I figured what do I have to lose, so I got the book out, dusted it off and I reread The Secret. Then I bought The Power. I then made a vision board displaying everything my ideal life would have in it. Every day I would visualize working for myself, being healthy, having plenty of money to help myself and others, and being able to volunteer my nursing time to people in need.
Shortly after, my stepmom introduced me to a new company that was everything I had asked for. Being my own boss, working my own hours, making more than enough money, and one of the incentives of this job was the exact car that I had put on my vision board! I knew this was the opportunity that I had asked for so I took it and did not look back! I am now on my way to financial independence and could not be more grateful!
