The right frame of mind is everything!
Submitted by: Holly F.
California, MDEarlier this year around Springtime, I started reading The Power. I could so easily relate to everything I was reading. I would pack my lunch every day at work and take it in the car with me, park at various places to sit and relax and clear my mind from my frequently busy work day. I would rest the seat back, prop up my feet on the dashboard, unroll the windows and listen to all the sounds of nature around me especially the birds chirping. What a beautiful world! This daily occurrence put me in a great mood day in and day out.
I felt so good about myself so I decided to test out what I could attract into my life. I applied for a local scholarship for one of the professional organizations I was a part of. I knew from the moment I filled out that application that I was going to be the winner. I told my friends and family that I had applied for this scholarship and knew that this was going to be awarded to me. I never had a doubt in my mind. The day of the meeting came where they would pick the winners. I visualized my name being pulled out of the hat by closing my eyes and seeing my name written on the piece of paper. Sure enough my name was called and I won $500! Just a few months prior, I remember telling a story to one of my colleagues that I never won any scholarships throughout my entire college years, however, it’s amazing how a small shift in your thinking can change everything!
