After a horrid break up with my boyfriend just a week before Christmas, I decided to go for a much needed holiday to Barcelona with friends.. Before my holiday I asked a friend if she could dog sit my beloved one and a half year old Boston terrier. As much as I needed a vacation, I was sad my baby wasn’t able to go with me but I was happy I had a great person in my life that I trusted could take care of him..

My friends and I were having a great time in Barcelona, walking around town, visiting Gaudi’s cathedrals, shopping, eating wonderful Spanish cuisine.. Around the fourth day into our vacation I told my friend one morning how I noticed that there were no pet shops around town, he said we would look into our guide book and see if we could find a Pet shop in town so maybe I could buy a treat for my little fellow.. I wished that I would find a pet store that day, and I wished to see a Boston terrier around town. That was in the morning-after that I forgot about what I wished for.

All day we trampled around town, went sightseeing, rode the Metro around and finally dinner time came around and we decided to walk into the nearest bistro for dinner. After finishing with our meals, the friend that was with me decided that he was going to look for an internet cafe nearby as he had some emails to write. He said “you can come with me or go back to our flat, its nearby”. I did not feel like going with him so I decided to take a stroll, do some window shopping and go slowly towards our flat. After walking about two or three blocks, I suddenly saw a huge sign Pet Shop to my left-I turned to look inside and at that very same moment towards me came walking two elderly gentlemen with TWO baby Boston Terriers. I stared at them in awe-started shaking as I could not believe my eyes!!! I stopped them in their walk, petted, kissed and hugged the little puppies.. They jumped all over me (I guess they sensed that I missed my little dog so they gave me kisses :)) The gentlemen patiently waited for me to pet and snuggle with the puppies, after I showed them my phone with the screensaver picture of my dog, they then understood why I was ecstatic about the puppies.
We said our goodbyes and I continued walking towards our flat.

Tears of joy came to my eyes, I looked up at the stars in the sky and repeated to myself “thank you, thank you, thank you soooooo much for this!!!” I had such a warm fuzzy feeling all over and then I finally KNEW it worked. Thank you once more. My love to you all :))
