Compared to many stories read in The Secret, my life has been very good. I was born to a middle class family of a CPA father and Businesswoman mother, and an older sister in Puerto Rico. We always showed true love, compassion, dedication, support to us. I studied in a private catholic school here and then studied Mechanical Engineering in a very recognize university in San Juan.

In November 2008, I met my girlfriend “Katy” in a engineering conference. She was also studying Mechanical Engineering, but in another university. She has been the best girlfriend that anyone could ever imagined. I knew from the beginning that she eventually would graduate and get a job in mainland USA, but I also had those plans. I graduated in May 2009 and struggled to find a job. The economic recession made it even harder for my situation. I continued doing my search while studying for my License exam and eventually got a contract/temporary position in a pharmaceutical plant. Soon, Kat graduated in January, got a job offer to New York City and by February she left Puerto Rico. From there, our situation got worse. She was starting to get her life together while mine was going nowhere. We had problems and in the back of my mind I thought our relationship would be over. Around May, I was a very annoying person whining about everything in my life. She was also constantly making me mad about all of this.

Then, one day I saw The Secret laying around my house and I took it out to the beach to relax my mind and start reading it. Soon, I started to think differently about my life. Seeing the things I wasn’t doing correctly and why things didn’t go the way I wanted. About two weeks after starting reading it and after finishing the book, my life started to turn around. In the time elapse of two weeks, I got my engineering licence approved, I received my tax return check, I got a job interview in PR, and then I got another job interview but in New Jersey! I quickly took a plane, did a great interview and got the job! Only minutes away from my girlfriend!!!

Some may call it a coincidence, but I call it THE SECRET. It took me 6 months to get there, but it happened! It turned my life around and here I am, starting my career with a good company. Maybe an engagament soon? Probably! Thank you for making The Secret available for all of us!
