Only What Your Heart Wants
Submitted by: Jahnvi
Mumbai, IndiaI don’t have much to say here except that you only get what you really want. You must take only what you “want” and not what you “get”. Here are a few instances that occurred in my life.
I liked my job and one day was told I had to leave, which was due to unavoidable circumstances. I signed up at another place but I was not too keen on it, and then suddenly everything worked out at my current place and I was able to stay. That was because in my heart of hearts, I did not want to leave and go elsewhere. Here’s a tip: Join only the company where you like the vibe of the place the minute you enter it. Where everything, every condition, every rule is in sync with what you want and you feel comfortable.
Similarly, for our relationships, I believe we only get what we truly and actually want. I used to wonder what “thinking with your heart” meant as opposed to “thinking with your head”. You may be on the verge of compromising, of giving “not your type” a shot in spite of your heart not agreeing fully with it and then fortunately, something will not work out and you will be happy that it did not.
With your head, you use reasons and arguments to convince yourself but with your heart, it just feels right or wrong. You feel peaceful and content, or restless and confused. Always put your happiness first because nothing else matters. If you have to convince yourself to be with somebody because the whole world is pressuring you, he/she is not right for you because you have to think about it – but if you just know without reason/without a doubt or cannot think beyond being with that person and it just “feels right”, then you are right on track. 🙂
And it is a great idea to believe in alternative and holistic healing therapies as they work and you have nothing to lose. 🙂
Thank you very much.
