The Secret was introduced to me for the first time around December of 2008 when I so much needed it. I had travelled from my home country Kenya to Dubai to look for work. Things were not very easy because I was surviving on barely minimum wage, and I needed to support my kids back home and my mother too. Jobs were not forthcoming. The recession had hit Dubai really bad. I had a visiting visa that was only for 3 months and was due to expire, and no jobs were forthcoming.

I watched The Secret DVD religiously and focused on having an unexpected income of 7000aed, even though I didn’t have a job, and no prospects. I was also thinking about having a love in my life.

Just 2 weeks until my visa was due to expire, I met this guy, heaven sent on the internet. OK, I want you to understand that most dating sites in this country are blocked, but this particular day I was able to access the site and met this guy. We exchanged our yahoo addresses and after that I tried to access the site but it kept telling me I was blocked.

This guy was the most wonderful man I had ever met, and this is not all. Since I was going back to my country and I didn’t have an income or anything, after failing to get a job, he put me on an allowance of 6000aed. Not the 7000aed I had asked for, but it was mind boggling that someone could do that.

Things between me and him did end up in marriage like we had hoped, and he is still my hero and I am attracting that our relationship will blossom.

He lived in Abu Dhabi but since I moved back to Dubai on 3rd April 2010, he has moved to Dubai, and not just Dubai, but we live in the same building. I am on the 3rd floor and he is on the 5th floor. My friend thinks I am a witch… but it’s what you put your mind on you will definitely get.
