I am so grateful that The Secret came into my life because it brought out the power in me. The power that I somewhat knew I had in me, but kept on losing time after time.

About a year ago, I was in a devastating state. I was in an abusive relationship, and I had lost track of myself and all of my dreams. But something kept on telling me to focus on all the good things in life, to stay positive. So I really did. And suddenly the partner that had given me such pain and devastation for years, that I didn’t have the strength to leave, left me. It was a turning point for me, and from that day I decided to do everything I could to become a better person.

A few months after this a friend introduced me to The Secret. It sounded appealing to me so I read the book and started to try it out on small things like parking spots, and it worked!

Since I started to use The Secret my whole life has transformed. I wake up every day feeling grateful. Grateful that I have a good job, that I meet nice people every day, grateful for my health, my family, and my good friends. Being grateful has brought me so much joy, and with that joy came new wonderful friends and experiences.

Although I enjoyed my life as a single girl, I started to think more and more about how great it would be to share my happiness with someone else. A soul mate. So I used The Secret to attract a soul mate. I visualised myself having all the good things I already have, good feelings, a great life with friends, family, and lots of fun. But with someone I loved by my side. I wrote a note of everything I wanted in a partner and how I wanted to feel with my perfect partner. I looked at the note every day and kept it under my pillow every night.

I wanted to fall in love. So I created a play list with my favorite love songs, listened to it every day and told myself I was in love. It worked so well that I even felt butterflies in my stomach, just by visualising love and feeling love in my imagination.

It was just a few weeks after this that love came into my life. True love. The love I wanted. It has only been about a month from our first kiss… and he lives far away from me. But just like my note said, I wanted a love who could survive distances, at least at an initial state. Someone who loves me and wants to be with me not because it is convenient but because of who I am, no matter where I live. Now he drives for many hours in the weekend to visit me, and I do the same, because I love to travel. Especially to the beautiful place where he lives, where I now visualise myself living.

When I started to use The Secret, I told myself that I only wanted uncomplicated, harmonious relationships. And I wanted to be an uncomplicated person who brought joy to others. Ever since, I have thought of myself that way. Therefore it was such a joy for me when my love told me that it was just so uncomplicated, fun, and easy to be with me, and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Someone telling me that is really a strong proof that you become what you think.
