I am a happy, thankful, grateful person who would like to share the magic of The Secret with the world.
So, I moved to Houston from New York a few months ago. I had a decent job in New York but I was miserable. It had been a really long winter and I was just ready to get out. Plus, I had just graduated from college and wanted to really begin my career.
So, on one of my trips to Houston, I got a job. I gave my notice at my old job and in a few weeks was on my way down here. What I didn’t count on was completely hating my job in Houston, so I quit and focused my full attention on my new job search. Every now and then, over the next few months, I got an interview but none of them actually panned out. I was running out of money, I had to pay my rent and my car note and still have money for everyday things. So, I decided that if I didn’t get a job, I’d move back to New York and stay with a friend there for a while until I could get back on my feet.
Then, I remembered The Secret. I couldn’t find my copy of the book anywhere so I got the audio version. I began to listen to it religiously over and over again and began to practice it for a job I was up for. I put all thoughts of moving back to New York out of my head and focused on the feelings of having the job now. I would take long walks and get into the state of mind of having the position. I wrote myself e-mails with a job offer and I jumped for joy every time I read the e-mail. I also told some people that I already had the job. I got all negative thoughts of my biggest obstacle, not passing the background check, out of my head. I only focused on passing it although it was quite thorough.
Then, the phone rang and it was the manager. I didn’t pick up and let it go to voicemail because I was too nervous about how I would respond. So, I listened to the message and whooped and hollered for joy for about 5 minutes. When I finally calmed down I called her back and we set my start date for Monday at 10:00 a.m.
I am so happy, thankful and grateful for my new job. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Now I’m ready to start working on bigger, better miracles! I did it and you can too!!
