I have always wanted to help people with the talents that God gave me. I am a “single” mom and it’s my job to put food on the table for me and my daughter, but it’s most important to feed my soul emotionally, too.

Three weeks ago I was hired at a pre-school where I was helping developmentally delayed children with education. I loved the school, the staff, the children, but there was one dark spot that marred the picture: my supervisor was picking on me and my progress and constatly watched like a hawk with a critical eye over me. In just a short time, the joy I had each morning upon arriving at work had turned to anxiety and fear at my boss.

Yesterday I was called into her office and was told that since I was 6 minutes late arriving to class…I was fired! I cried and felt angry and humiliated. Not only had I lost a job I loved, I had also lost a job that would feed me and my daughter and pay our bills. I worried about my bills and I cried all the way home.

At home, my sister who I live with only smiled and sat next to me and said, “I am jealous of you because you just got rid of a difficult boss and now you’re gonna get an amazing supervisor in an amazing job!”

I’ve known about The Secret all summer, and I had tried to apply it in everyday life. I know that it works but I didn’t work it every day and I just let it go to the back of my mind.

Yesterday, though, I knew I needed to BELIEVE for myself and especially for my baby! I envisioned myself laughing and helping students in school, I envisoned myself learning alongside my students and being in a school setting. I tried to get rid of any lingering doubts about the fututre and I MADE myself SEE myself at school, in trainings, and HAPPY in my JOB!!!!

And guess what?!?!

About half an hour ago, over the phone, I was just called and told that I have been hired to help tutor students!!!!!!!!!!!! I was actually given a choice as to which schools I’d prefer to work with, how far from home I’d prefer to work, and with what ages!!!!! I am SOOOO BLESSED, I am SOOOO HAPPY!!!!

It was The Secret! God has blessed me!!!

This is the best day of my life!!!!
