I had been in a dead end job for about 2 1/2 years, as well as a relationship that was making me very unhappy. Upon viewing The Secret several months prior to December 2007, I started to adopt some of its practices. I started thinking how glad I was to be starting a new job at the beginning of the year (without having a job lined up at the current time), and how I was going to be free of the relationship that was not going anywhere. I started interviewing for jobs here and there, but really wasn’t seeing anything develop.

Then one day I got an email from a company who recruited people for other companies on a direct to hire basis. I went in for two interviews acting as if I already had the job, and needless to say I got the job! And I started Jan 2nd (the beginning of the year!!!). How’s that for right on the money!? Then on January 23rd I split from my significant other after we came to a mutual decision that it was better to be the friends we had been within the relationship for quite some time, and allow the other to live the life they needed to. To this day that person is still my best friend. The Lord works in mysterious ways… like the Secret!
