I have submitted two stories earlier on this site and I am happy to say that both were published. Now, I am here again submitting a new story that is another indication of dreams turning into reality.

In 2008, I read a book entitled, “Ask and It is Given” before I even knew or read about The Secret, and in that book, it said to make a wish box and put all that you wish for. I took an old gift box and made it my Wish Box. As instructed by the authors, I wrote down the words, “whatever is in this box, is” and was told to say this every time you put your wish in the box. I cut out pictures of places that I wanted to visit etc.

On the last weekened of June, 2011, I was packing for our trip to France & our Mediterranean cruise (this was the last story I submitted), when I noticed my wish box. I decided to see if anything in there has come true since I made it. I saw pictures of San Francisco, Hawaii, cruise packing tips etc. and I realized that we have gone to all of those places already. The most amazing one though was a picture of Malibu Village, a resort in Canet en Rousillon, France. Can you believe that it was the same place that we booked to stay in Southern France? I never even knew about this resort nor the region but I just thought when I was cutting it out that it sounded so French and it said that it was where Matisse & Picasso used to go and paint. It was just one of those big “OMG” moments. But wait, there’s more..

Once we have booked our cruise in 2010, I made a vision board of the places that I wanted us to see/visit during this trip and hung it on our bedroom wall. I also cut out the words from an ad that said “Joy accepts nothing less than everything” and pasted it on my vision board. Aptly said, I thought, because it had my name on it. Before I go to sleep and when I wake up, I would see it every time and just imagine myself and my family are the actual people in those pictures. I even put our names in the pictures.

Coming back from our vacation, I looked at my vision board and every place that I put there, we were able to see/visit: the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Musuem, Champs Elysees in Paris; Ponte Vechio, Santa Croce & the statue of Michaelangelo in Florence & yes, the Leaning Tower of Pisa to name a few. On hindsight, I should have put a picture of the inside of the Colisseum in Rome as we only saw the outside. Oh well, I guess, that will be on our next trip to Italy as I threw a coin at the Trevi Fountain to ensure my return (lol).

I am planning our next trip(s) so it’s time to put more pictures in my Wish Box and make another vision board. Try it… It really works!
