I met Pete while attending a creative writing class in college. After six months of getting to know him, I developed a crush on him. I asked him out shortly after I was aware of my feelings, but he politely and respectfully declined. For some reason, I just couldn’t shake my attraction to him, but I encouraged him to look for other people, and even tried to play matchmaker myself.

I had learned about The Secret after Pete and I had been friends for a couple of years. During that time, I could only see myself with him and didn’t want anyone else (which would explain why other attempts at relationships had failed). After knowing each other for two and a half years, he finally asked me out and we’ve been dating ever since! We are very happy and want to get married. I never gave up hope of being with Pete, and now I’m with a man who loves me no matter what and makes me very happy.
