I came upon The Secret a little over two years ago. At that time, a long term relationship was at the edge of being over forever. My sons were on the brink of adulthood and were not any where close to where I felt they should be headed. One was a bit distracted and was not focused as he had been before on his future. The second was way off course and getting in a lot of trouble. I was financially trying to make it on my own but was barely making it. It was a constant struggle to pay the bills and put food on the table. I wasn’t giving up but I felt like I was in this endless cycle of just getting by.

I saw The Secret movie first and then read the book. I felt I always had a positive outlook on life and did my best to keep my head up but once I had learned about The Secret I started practicing it and made my vision board of what I wanted to accomplish. At that time it was to complete my divorce from my first marriage, marry the man I was in the midst of losing, paying off all debts, increasing my income, vacation with my family and learn to ride a motorcycle.

Well, my relationship got back on track, one son moved out and was making his own life. I was budgeting and paying my bills on time. Everything was looking up. I finally got everything finalized for my divorce. My boyfriend went with me to file the final papers and everything changed. We immediately started to plan our wedding, everything fell into place and seven months later we were married. We are now going on our first year anniversary and we have all our debts paid off. I’ve received two raises, we’ve improved our credit scores and are saving to purchase a home. My second son is now on the right path to becoming self-sufficient.

Last month I was planning a party for a friend and needed to send an excel spreadsheet to some contacts. When I went into my sky drive, I found copies of the items I had on my vision boards. It blew my mind when I saw that I was able to cross off half of the items that were on my board. I just cried with gratitude that everything was working. The next day I got up and made a new board and on it is a happy, healthy and loving marriage, a united and strong family, an abundance of wealth, staying debt free, home ownership and family vacations.

The secret works and I am grateful and grateful that my husband understands it now. Our life is so much better knowing that we are in control of our life, love, happiness and wealth. We no longer see road blocks in our path, we have to make our own path. I’m so thankful and grateful for the life we have now.
