When The Impossible Happens.
Ever since I was young my parents always told my sister and I that we could only get our ears pierced. They also stated how we could only have 1 hole in our ear, getting a second hole was frowned upon. After I graduated from college I decided to rebel against my parents and get a second hole because I always thought it looked good. After the piercing of my second hole I took care of it for 3 months.
One night I decided to change the earrings and I accidentally fell asleep with the earrings on. When I woke up, the backs were jammed into my left ear. I thought nothing of it until recently when I touched my ear and there was blood on my fingers. Every time I touched my left it ear would start to hurt. The back of my earring went inside my ear. I thought nothing of it, assuming that when I take the earring out it would easily come out. I tried to take the earring out but it wouldn’t budge. Then I asked my sister to do it, and the earring painfully came out. However the back was still inside my ear.
I went to the doctors to have them look at my ear and they told me natural remedies to try to get the back out of my ear. The next day I was going to try them but both holes closed up, front and back. I could feel the back in my ear, but there was no way of getting it. I went back to the doctors and they said I would have to have surgery to get it removed. I informed my parents about what happened, and my mom told me to wait three weeks and if it’s not out by then, then she would make an appointment for them to operate on my ear.
Within those three weeks, I wrote a positive affirmation saying, “The back of my earring will come out naturally”. I wrote it every night and said it ten times. Towards the end of the three weeks nothing happened and I got discouraged. I said the positive affirmations to myself in bed and I thought, “Why are you saying this line, it’s never going to come out?”. Then I thought for a second and realized how my thoughts were negative and I needed to make them more positive.
So. I then changed my thought to “The back of my earring will come out naturally” and I made sure I was in a good state of mind and excited that it came out.
As I was saying this line, I was playing with my ear, and somehow the back of my earring came out!! I was in such shock my jaw was wide open and I didn’t say another word.
But how did this happen I thought? Both of the holes were completely closed up, doctors, friends, and family members looked at my ears and told me that I would have to get surgery. Then I analyzed the situation and I figured that I must have picked at the hole, and peeled a layer of the hole off while saying the affirmation.
So now I have a question for you. If I changed my thoughts from negative to positive in a situation when I needed it most, what would happen to you, if you change your thoughts to positive ones? Do you think the impossible could really happen? The answer to that lays in your mind and what you think. Remember to always think positively, write and say positive affirmations at night, and always build people up instead of tearing them down.
