Hi,

I would like to share my story about how I got something I wished for but was shocked in the way I got it.

So this year January 2015 something was bothering me about my apartment, it was how my living room had an ugly dark brown carpet. This apartment was as it was when we first moved in. Not only was the carpet disgusting, so were the kitchen cabinets. Awful! I lived with it because at the time I only had enough money to pay my rent, bills and food to eat, etc.

The whole month of January I kept thinking about how it would be nice if we had our place renovated as far as brand new carpets, brand new cabinets, etc. Over that month I kept thinking about how I wished the landlord would call us and ask us if we wanted to have new carpets and cabinets placed and how we would tell him yes please!

Low and behold my husband, mom and I came home from dialysis Feb 2nd to our apartment flooded with water coming from the upstairs apartment.

Instead of me feeling annoyed by the whole situation I jumped for joy and said yes!!!!!!!

My husband looked at me and said; hun, why are you excited??? What in the world are we going to do???? I said to him everything is going to work out.

We opened the door and water was pouring everywhere especially over our ugly carpets and cabinets. So I called 911 and had the fire department come over to turn off the water because the lady who lived upstairs had left her washing machine on and left for work and so the pipes burst and that’s how we got flooded. They came and turned it off.

I called my landlord and he came right over to see what happened and to tell us that we will need to find a place to go stay, meanwhile they will get the place fixed up, etc.

He said we will have brand new carpet and new cabinets put in, too!! He said to find a hotel and he will reimburse us for it however long it takes to fix the place up. Also our food expense and moving expenses will be reimbursed too!!

We were both elated with all this news. Right before I called a hotel my landlord called me back to tell me he has a 3 bedroom house we could go stay temporarily until our apartment was ready. But that’s not all, we get to stay there free, no rent and no utilities, everything covered!!

I was shocked and still am, because guess what????

It’s April and are still here at the house living freely while our place is being renovated!

God is good to us and so is all of the things I have learned from The Secret team.

I have been back to our apartment to check on it and we now have hardwood flooring and brand new cabinets with granite counter top, amazing!!!!! I can’t wait to move back but then again, I am enjoying saving money while we wait!!
