What Goes Around Comes Around
Submitted by: Donna
UKSoon to be married to my soulmate - Thanks to The Secret.
What have you got going around?
I’ve known about the LOA since watching The Secret several years ago. It’s worked so positively for me time and time again. I also know that the LOA works equally powerfully negatively so I always try to be aware of my thoughts and feelings in order to stay on the right side of positive! Rhonda says in her audio book The Power that the LOA is like a boomerang and boom! Did I feel the full force of it today!
This morning when driving to work with my dog in the car, I was overtaken by a young woman who did a very dangerous manoevre which caused me to swerve and brake hard. It scared the wits out of me and although me and the dog were jolted forward, fortunately neither of us were hurt.
I was so angry with what had happened that I went after the woman and got her to stop her car so that I could get out of mine and shout at her ‘what were you thinking?! You could’ve killed us!’. She was clearly shaken by my confronting her and I went back to my car, shaking with rage and satisfied that I’d intimidated her as ‘payback’ for what she’d done to me.
Once back in my car I knew immediately what would happen. I knew that my negative feelings and anger towards the woman would mean the LOA was going to come back equally negatively and bite me on the rear!
I’m in a fortunate position to have a job I love and a great boss who lets me bring my dog to the office with me. She has a smaller dog and we and the rest of the team work happily and successfully from her home. Both dogs have got on well together since we joined the company a year ago. However, today – within an hour of the car incident, my dog turned on hers and caused a bite injury. It was upsetting for all of us. Although my boss assures me everything is ok, I just know that I’ve caused this because the LOA works – no matter what!
My dog and my job mean the world to me and I’ve jeopardised both by the power of my own thoughts and feelings towards the woman in the car who I’m sure made only a mistake. She didn’t intend to cause me or my dog any harm by her driving. I on the other hand, intended to do harm by intimidating her with my actions.
From now on I’ll work harder at sending love rather than letting the ‘red mist’ take over.
As I said at the beginning – what have you got going around?
