Five years ago, my family and I moved into a flat in a multistory apartment building. The people living above us feed pigeons on their balcony and because of that our balcony would be full of pigeon poop all the time. Anyone who knows how acidic pigeon poop is will understand just how disgusted I was when all my plants were burned up with loads of pigeon poop falling into them from above, not to mention the smell and the health hazard.

I asked the owners of the flat above us to block a certain ledge where the pigeons would usually sit and mess up our balcony but they just would not do anything about it. Again and again, I asked them to sort this out. I even volunteered to pay for getting the job done but they would get rude and they never did anything about it. Needless to say, I was frustrated about this whole issue.

Five years of cleaning pigeon poop off my plants and balcony passed by. During this time, I had come across ‘The Secret’. The possibilities it opened up blew me away!! I started to experience the amazingness of the law of attraction in many ways.

One day while I was feeling extremely frustrated after cleaning up the balcony, I suddenly thought aloud to myself, “What am I doing?!!”.

In that split second, I realized that my constant anger and frustration over the pigeon situation had kept the problem from being resolved! That was it!!! That simple realization at that moment was all it took to give me release from the feeling of hopelessness over the situation!

I then simply said aloud, “Thank you, God, for sorting this problem out right now!” After that, I felt at peace and I actually forgot about it and went about my chores.

The very next day the ledge was covered!!!! Problem solved! I still get goosebumps when I tell this story to people!

So what happened was, about 3 months ago I had mentioned the issue to a friend who also lives in the same apartment building. I had expressed my frustration and my friend had also tried to speak with those people too,  but they just would not do anything about it.

Then suddenly, one day they asked my friend to have the work done since they did not have time and they said they would pay for it.

It turns out that this happened on the same day that I had suddenly said, “What am I doing!”. That same day that I had shifted from five years of frustration to freedom, in a moment!

To anyone who is reading this, I would say that anything is possible when, instead of holding onto a concern or a desire, we release it with faith, believing that it will be taken care of. Declare what you desire and know that it will surely come to pass. Give thanks in advance, focus on what is working at the moment in your life so that you can begin to move from a feeling of lack to a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction. This is what, I believe, gets the ball rolling in the right direction!
