I’ve known about the power of words and thoughts since I was a little girl growing up in rural Mississippi. Unfortunately, I didn’t always use that knowledge advantageously for myself until I made the decision to stop the chain of unfortunate events in my life. It all started with the wonderful home that I’ve been in for 5 years now. In October of 2004, I was looking at homes in a subdivision that quite honestly was well out of my price range. I came upon a home that was not for sale but stated (jokingly) to my friend who was riding along with me, “That’s going to be my home.” To her disbelief and quite honestly mine, 6 months later in April 2005, I signed on the dotted line the Deed to that same home… a wonderful 2300 sq ft, 3 bed/3 bath, 3 car garage!

Let’s fast forward to the present… I had somewhat slipped into my old pattern of thinking and not speaking good things into my life, until I read and watched The Secret DVD. I decided to make a conscious effort this time. Although I was blessed to have a job, I was unhappy and felt under utilized.

Approximately one month ago, I created a vision for my dream job, prayed to God, asked God to send me a position “tailor-made” for me, and then thanked God for opening a door of opportunity for my dream job. As of June 11, 2010, I was offered a position that was – read this carefully – just created! That’s right… a job that was just created and was “tailor-made” for me! How awesome is our God?! I had to walk by faith and not by sight… viewing it by sight would have been null & void because it wasn’t created yet.

Whatever your desires are, ask God, believe God, and prepare to receive. Sometimes you have to see it before you’ll receive it. Now, I’ve visualized my Mr. Wonderful, asked God for my Mr. Wonderful, and am preparing to receive my Mr. Wonderful. Above all else, remain thankful to God!

Be encouraged! God wants to give you blessings that you don’t even have room to receive… but give Him the opportunity to do so!
