My mom told me how The Secret worked, and although it made sense, I never really put it to the test.

Last December, I entered a contest to win an autographed poster by one of my favorite singers, Allison Iraheta. I really wanted that poster badly. So I decided to give The Secret a shot.

Every time I thought about that contest, I didn’t imagine losing or worrying, I just told myself I already had the autograph. I would think, “I have an autographed poster of Allison Iraheta. It’s hanging on my wall right now.” One time I couldn’t do it, so I made myself write it down on paper: “I have an Allison Iraheta autograph. It’s on the wall above my bed.”

A few weeks later, I got the poster in the mail. The autograph was mine, and for free. I was so happy! The Secret worked!

My mom has since gotten me The Secret to Teen Power, and I’ve been reading it whenever I’m in a downer mood. I created my own vision board (which includes many more autographs and celebrity meetings, as well as my friends and pets!) and am starting to put the money technique to work.
