Using Your Mind To Maintain Perfect Weight!
Submitted by: Sabrina
AustraliaA 19 year old girl who finally learned what true gratitude is, and that the ability to change everything for the better is all within my mind!
My gratitude to Rhonda Byrne and all the teachers of The Secret for gifting the world with the knowledge and understanding of The Secret. Thank you to my parents, to everyone who took the time to write their stories here, and to the Universe.
I would like to share my story here with the hope that it will inspire and encourage many. Although it will be a fairly long story, your patience in reading it is appreciated and will be rewarded.
Growing up, I breezed through life with a thin and slim body. I am one of those girls where people gasp and say: She eats like a horse but looks like a stick! I had yet to know about The Secret or the law of attraction, but in my mind, any thoughts related to ‘fat’ or ‘gaining weight’ just bounced right off me. I hear people discussing it, I read it in many places, in fact, I even hear people telling me if I eat any more I am going to be fat! Oh my gosh! Why do you eat so much?? All I do is shrug and continue stuffing my mouth with more food, much to my friend’s envy and exasperation. To me, I do not fear weight. I love my body the way it is and am not afraid to admit it. I enjoy food, and I feel happy when I am eating because the food is so yummy, and it makes me feel pleasantly full and satisfied!
Now, at 19, I have never weighed more than 47kg in my life, and I am a size 1. You may think: then you must look like one of those anorexic models! Wrong. My body is tall and slim and looks perfectly healthy, and even doctors wonder how someone so thin can be so healthy.
In my mind, I have planted an unwavering belief that I am special. My body is so awesome that I can eat whatever I want and as much as I want while still staying so slim and beautiful. My friends go on crazy diets, starve themselves, worry about every single bite, and work out until they are exhausted every day, but to their dismay, they gain weight instead! I don’t exercise at all. My family and best friends will burst out laughing if people come up to ask me what exercises I do because the thought of me moving an extra muscle is too ridiculous.
So to all who would like to be slim and thin, think ‘thin’ thoughts! I know it won’t be easy but change all your beliefs of food into: ‘I like to eat, food is delicious! My body is happy that I give it such delicious food that it stays so slim and thin.’
Don’t you feel happy when you eat your favorite food? Going on diets and working out to excess only makes things worse if you don’t like it because it makes you miserable and, therefore, attracts negative thoughts that keep you from slimming down. So when in doubt, you may think of that crazy Sabrina. She has even tried eating Kentucky Fried Chicken for a whole week for every lunch and dinnertime, but at the end of the day, she is still stuck at 47kg with perfect health!
The Secret says that we are all made up of the same things, so you and I are the same. If my body can do this because my mind tells it to, then so can you! Alright? Now give a big smile and say: I love my body; thank you for being thin and slim!
