Using the Secret
We never realized what The Secret was, but we used it often. We had a board on which we wrote the things we wanted next, whether we had any idea how we were going to get them or not.
We wrote that we wanted a winter home on Jim’s mother’s land, a summer home in the mountains, and a new car. We were both unemployed at the time and barely scraping by financially. But we got all three within a few months.
Then we forgot, and started doubting. The plans we had for making money started to go sour. The area around our mountain cabin wasn’t what we wanted. The winter home wasn’t insulated enough for summer living.
Then we were given a DVD of The Secret. We didn’t watch it. It got lost, mixed in with other movies. Months later, purely by accident, Jim wanted to watch something to grab so he could forget the troubles of this world. And thus, we came to watch The Secret.
And we remembered what we had forgotten. We told the universe that we were grateful that we were able to sell our summer home for $15,000. In a bad real estate market, we were able to do just that, making back three times what we paid for it. This allowed us to start up a new business, pay off some old bills, and make a mental change regarding our finances.
Now, we have more things written on our board, and are looking forward to them manifesting. Some are minor (Disney passes and a Kindle), some more major (selling out of our product at our first convention), but we don’t doubt they will be real shortly.
