Using Gratitude to Get Though An Accident
Submitted by: Kathy P
Alberta, CanI'm a 44 year old stay home mother of three kids, a 19 year old girl and two boys aged 14 and just turning Feb 14. which is my birthday also. My husband has his own trucking company. I suffered depression, overweight, and great unhappiness, and Ive conquered it all yay!
Hi my name is Kathy. I heard of The Secret from a friend a few years ago, and then another friend a while later. I never forgot their stories about The Secret and decided I wanted to learn more. It was probably another year before I was given a gift certificate for my birthday and used it to buy a copy of The Secret book. I was hooked. I decided this could be the answer for me and started asking to attract more information about the law of attraction. I’m so grateful to Rhonda and The Secret team every day, for your desire to share this with the world, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Words cannot express how much I appreciate what you have done for my husband and me.
That was a year ago. Since then I daily read from my Secret book and daily readings. I’ve tagged pages of some of the awesome information and affirmations and read them first thing every morning, and every day I’m getting better and stronger.
Last Sunday I went on a 2 hour drive to meet my husband. I decided to use my drive as time to use The Secret and just feel gratitude during my drive filling myself up. When I was almost to my destination I hit some black ice, went across the lane of traffic into the ditch and rolled my vehicle end over end 2 times. WOW! There were people there to help me in seconds. Though I was hurt and scared I decided to use this as an opportunity to practice The Secret. I stayed calm, and kind and present. I was helped by so many wonderful people that were brought into my life to help me that day. Thank you all so much.
I reassured the first aiders I was okay, I joked with the emergency team as they transported me to the ambulance, I talked health to the ambulance attendant on the way to the hospital. I’m sure this helped me too as it distracted from the ambulance skidding a few times on the way to the hospital.
I decided to be patient and kind to the hospital staff, and loving supportive to my poor worried husband. I decided to try to be the best patient I could. I was proud of the way I acted that day. I did share health, happiness and gratitude. I focused on trying to make the people helping know how much I appreciated their help. I was grateful because even though my vehicle was totally destroyed, after a nights stay in the hospital due to head injury, I walked away with only bumps and bruises, not even 1 broken bone.
Even though I was going though a horrific experience, I felt like it was one of the best days because I did the best I could and focused on the positive. I felt so grateful and lucky. I was so happy that I had learned the tools I needed to get through something like that. My heart soared because I felt if I could do so well during something like this, I could get through anything.
So still in gratitude, I want The Secret Team to know that you are helping us and serving us, and I’ll gladly serve with you, and I am grateful. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, I love you so much for what your doing for the world keep up the great work, and we will join you and help you, I can’t wait to see the results.
