Watching the film motivated me use the power.

This year in September I went to Pennsylvania visiting my relatives and afterwards spending three days in Las Vegas. I always wanted to go to Vegas, since I have seen the movie with Cameron Diaz in it. I wanted to be upgraded in the hotel for some reason, just like it happened to her in the movie.

So I thought all the time about me being in this huge room, with view on the Bellaggio fountain!

When we came in in Vegas, we were pretty late, because the plane had a delay. At the registry a very nice young lady welcomed us and asked for a smoking or non-smoking room. “Non-smoking please.” “Mmm, I see. Mmm. I am sorry you are pretty late, all of the non smoking rooms are already full.” I didn’t say anything, I just thought, what ever…. “Oh, well actually I could upgrade you!” So I finally got MY huge room including the perfect view on the Bellagio fountain! =)

Flying back home, we met the same guy that was in the 1st plane with us. He was pretty sad, and told me that he wouldn’t have the possibility to see his girlfriend this year again. I was confused and wanted to know why his girlfriend lives in the USA. He told me that they met when she was as an exchange student in Germany. And being a student doesn’t have the opportunity to buy two 500 Euro flight-tickets in one year.

I felt so sorry for him and told him to think always positive and never give up. He should imagine being with her at Christmas, instead of being mad. He laughed and said, “OKay I will think positive, promise heheh”…. Just 15 Minutes later the airline explained that the flight was overbooked, and that they were searching volunteers, that would fly half a day longer, but would get 554 Euros! I looked at this guy, this guy looked at me. He got up and he said thanks and ran to this volunteer desk like a crazy man. And this second I realized, that something very wonderful just happened!
