Unexpected Magic!

CaliforniaNow living a life filled with gratitude and love! Thanks to The Secret, The Power and The Magic :)
An amazing thing just happened. I feel so compelled to share this with everyone! This morning a young man came into my office selling candy. He claimed he was with a youth organization trying to raise money for youth programs. In the past I had been weiry of situations like this and would immediately dismiss them and send them on their way.
Today though, right after I told him I wasn’t interested, I walked back to my desk and felt an overwhelming feeling that I had just done something wrong. What I had just done contradicted everything I have taken in through reading and experiencing The Secret, The Power and The Magic. I realized I should have at least given the young man a chance. Especially since I had been wanting to donate money and help with children’s organizations. I couldn’t believe I had said no.
A couple minutes passed and I headed back up to the front desk to see if he was still near the parking lot. I was planning on flagging him down. Low and behold he was still up front, now sitting, very patiently. He figured I’d come back! Well he and I got to talking and it turns out he was also selling tea- crazy because I had been thinking earlier in the morning how much I wanted tea but I was out! So in his huge box of candy he had just 2 boxes of tea- and 1 box was Raspberry tea, which is one of my favorites. I happily bought the tea from him.
Just then another young boy came in, a child in the same organization, asking for a cup of water. I happily obliged. It was then that we began talking of their organization- a youth program aimed at helping lower income kids receive clothing and sports equipment, school supplies and that sort of thing. They were both participants in the program. They were also raising money for a trip to Washington DC and when they spoke of that you could hear pure joy and excitement in their voices. They KNEW they would raise enough money to go and they couldn’t wait. I had also taken a trip to Washington DC at their age, so it was a wonderful reminder of those special memories.
The whole experience left me so happy- which I really needed because I had been doubting my circumstances earlier this morning and I knew I had to change my way of thinking. Thank god for these boys! They have no idea how they just made my day, but I will be “sprinkling magic dust”‘ and thinking good thoughts for them all day. They helped me realize The Magic is real and it’s out there- everywhere :). Thank you, with all my heart!
