I have been living an existence that really has not been shaped and molded by my own design. I, basically, have been “floating” through life, experiencing life as an observer with no real attempt to control its outcome. After floating through my life for the past 36 years, only utilizing opportunities that have come to me randomly, I have come to realize I have yet to BEGIN LIVING my life at a level that is by my own intentional design which, incidentally, requires a desired direction and/or destination. I have been told by a couple of people in my life, to watch The Secret because it had “something” (a message, instruction, or guidance) which they felt I really have been needing. Let me tell you, that was a definite understatement. To be honest, my life really needed SOMETHING, ANYTHING. I have realized for some time now, that my life lacked direction, and I, myself, generally lacked any sort of interest and desire. I really cant help but notice, The Secret is not only what I needed, but it seems like, it is really the exact “thing” that I have been waiting for.
So, basically, you have an individual in desperate need for a catalyst to a fulfilled existence. The Secret had me at “hello. So, the first thing I did was visualize a softball championship for me and my team. We had been playing together for 4 seasons now without even coming close to a winning record, let alone a playoff appearance leading to a championship game. The day of the playoffs, (we had to win three games to take the championship) I tricked myself into behaving as if there was no question we would be victorious. But, it wasn’t just the victory I had envisioned. It was the FASHION in which we would win these games, which I had visualized, that would prove to be to coincidental to be coincidence. I “knew” the way we would win would be by obliterating the opposing teams. I kept telling my team upon arrival at Twin Creeks softball facility, that we were not only going to win, but it would be by “slaughter-rule” for all the games.
In summary, we clowned the opposition in all three games, running away with the championship in a way that seemed almost effortless. I hope that The Secret will not be considered a performance-enhancing drug. I won’t be fretting over the asterisks in the record books if it does.
