Today is my 34th birthday as well as my son’s 5th birthday. Two years ago on the same date, I was broke, jobless, separated from my husband and living in my mom’s house with my then 3 year old son and 4 month old daughter. I had read The Secret but did not have enough faith to manifest anything.

Two days before our birthday, I called a cake shop called Valentine Cake House and with a lot of faith, explained my situation and how important it was that I get my son a cake. I asked if I could give them a small laptop for a cake as collateral, and when I got the money I would pay them and take back the laptop. They agreed and that day my son had an amazing birthday.

That inspired me to have faith for a job. I decided to apply at a nearby call center as a customer service manager. In my heart, all I wanted was a salary of 80,000 Kenya shillings. I had been jobless for over 4 years.

I was called for an interview at the call center but they wanted a team leader. The Universe knew I wanted a manager position so it worked it’s magic. Just after the interview, one of the account managers resigned and to cut the story short, I got the account manager job at the exact salary I wanted.

In November of the same year, I moved to my own house with the kids and reconciled with my husband. Now, 2 years later, I am in my 3rd job and every job has come with a salary increment. I just got another offer as a customer service manager paying me 200,000 kenya shillings per month.  I have since read The Magic and every morning I write 10 things I am grateful for.
