Travel Trailer Accident.

April 2021 my husband and I left Yuma, AZ pulling our 26 ft travel trailer. Our plan was to go up through Nevada on our way to see Redwood National Park and then across the U.S. to our home in Wisconsin. We were driving through the desert in Nevada at night and it was very windy. I was driving. Our travel trailer began to sway. It went out of control and I felt like I was spinning on ice. When we finally came to a stop our 26 ft camper was on it’s side on the right side of the highway. Our vehicle did not flip and we were not hurt.
Of course, we needed tow. It took a semi tow truck, a flat bed tow truck, and 2 guys 5 hours to get it right side up. We asked one of the highway patrol people where we should have it towed as we were unfamiliar with the area. He recommended Boulder City as they had an RV dealer. So we did that. We checked into a hotel and had the trailer towed to the hotel parking lot. We knew our insurance would deem it totaled. That night I went to the website of the RV dealership in town. It was a small consignment dealer. There were not any travel trailers for sale on their website. But, I knew The Secret.
I told my husband not to worry as I knew we would find a trailer, even if it might take a couple days. The next morning we went to the RV dealer, and they did have one and only one travel trailer on the lot for sale. Bingo! It was perfect for us! It actually has a better floor plan than our totaled trailer. We bought it on the spot! We spent the next couple of days sightseeing the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Las Vegas was only 25 miles away so we did that too. We even got to The Pawn Shop! We hadn’t planned this stop but it was fun. We picked up our new trailer a few days later and continued on our route to Redwood National Park and home to Wisconsin.
