Today is the culmination of the first use of The Secret. I first heard about The Secret almost two years ago. It has taken some time to get some of the negative clouds that have been following me around to part. At last, I can say that has happened.

In September or October of 2015, after watching The Secret and reading the book, I determined that I wanted a copy of the DVD of the movie. I put the stipulation on it that it had to cost me nothing. Just testing this out to see if it really worked.

About two or three months after putting that wish out to the Universe, I was laid off from my job. No DVD in sight. I thought to myself, “Well, I can’t be concerned about this right now, I have to get back to work”. So I concentrated on doing that. During the course of my job search, I updated my resume. As a thank you gift for leaving a testimonial about my experience with the service, they gave me a Canadian $20.00 gift card for Amazon. This was unexpected and I always look at gifts like this as found money, or as free money. About two or three weeks after getting the gift card, I was on Amazon just looking things over, not even thinking of the gift card, just window shopping. While I was online doing this, the thought popped into my mind to check out what the cost of the DVD of The Secret would be. Within about two minutes I came across a copy of The Secret DVD that was well within the gift card price range, even with the shipping charges. When I saw that, my excitement level went through the ceiling! Today, the DVD arrived and no, it did not cost me anything, other than what the gift card was able to cover. Thoughts do become things!

This is not a big thing as most of us think of big things in this world. It is not a dream home, a fancy car or millions of dollars. For some of us in this world, we do need to take baby steps to get our feet wet. This helps to build confidence. And that’s what this was. Only a first step. Now, it’s on to bigger and better things.
