San Marcos, CaliforniaI am a Senior in high school. I found out about The Secret a little before it became world known. I wasn't very happy with my life, then saw The Secret and my life is as good as it's ever been.
A few months after first watching The Secret, I decided to try one of the exercises the creators recommended.
Sometime in February, I got out a piece of paper and wrote down some things I would have liked to see in my life. Like the film says, I wrote it in the present tense. I wrote down that I was so happy and grateful now that I had a job, I had my first girlfriend, and that more people respected me. I stored this paper away in a pile of papers I have in my room.
Come this past December, I was going through some of my old papers. Every year I write parodies to Christmas songs, so I wanted to take a look at some of my older ones. On top of that pile I read something I had written almost a year earlier. It was that paper with everything I would have liked to see in my life. As I read it, I realized that I had everything I had mentioned on the piece of paper. I had had my first job, I was (and still am) in my first relationship, and today I talk to and hang out with people I never used to even speak to. I now have everything that I told myself I wanted a year ago. I had to sit down as I read it. It was the creepiest, and at the same time, most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me.
