IrelandI am married with two childen. I volunteer as an IT tutor. In my spare time I enjoy writing, walking and playing guitar. "The Secret" has changed my life in a very special way.
I suffered from anxiety and depression from childhood up until the age of twenty-six. That was when I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I’ve had four hospitalizations from the age of twenty-one up until 2015, lasting an average of 3 months each time.
I fell ill in 2007 and was hospitalized when my first child was merely four weeks old. I was introduced to a book around that time that changed my life in a very positive way. “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I decided to return to education after building up my confidence and unlocking The Secret.”
I began thinking positive, practicing gratitude, goal setting and visualisation. I commenced the Access 21 further education course and successfully completed it. Then in 2013 went on to pursue my degree in Front Office and Tourism Management and in 2014 I graduated with an honors degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
I had always wanted to teach since a young age and in 2015 an opportunity presented itself to start a teaching course in further education. I am delighted to have recently completed a two-year course in rehabilitation and wellness. I get involved in various mental health groups and feel my health has been restored through the support of family and friends, attending courses, reading and listening to many self-help books, practicing affirmations, changing my thought patterns and having faith in life.
I feel I have been on a journey of self-empowerment, personal growth, self-transformation, inner-peace, and hope. I am very grateful to my doctors, nurses, other healthcare professionals, past colleagues, course facilitators, fellow students and especially my family and friends. I thank God every day and am blessed in life to have such wonderful support around me. I am very interested in helping people pursue their goals and dreams and would love to assist people in discovering their own true path in life through life coaching.
I have found that there is always hope, even when you are in a dark hole but you have to discover your own silver lining of prosperity and walk through it. I wrote the following quote a few years ago. “Aim for the stars because if you cannot reach them yet you can enjoy all the fluffy clouds that might just take you to a rainbow of different opportunities.”
