The Universe Is Healing Me!
First of all, I would like to thank Rhonda Byrne and the entire team of The Secret for making me believe that the ‘The gift of health is keeping me alive’. I would also like to thank my professor who introduced me to The Secret book back in my college days. Since then, I have been practicing gratitude by maintaining a gratitude journal and generally following the law of attraction in every aspect of my life. I have always felt blessed in every way. I have a good job. I live in one of the most beautiful cities in India. I have traveled across the country. I have a very supportive family and a chunk of good friends. As such, my health has always been good. But this was until a strange incident happened to me few months ago.
I suffered from a stomach infection for which the doctor gave me a few medicines including a deworming pill. He suspected that I had worms in my stomach. The pill killed the tapeworm that was actually living inside my brain.
It started with a seizure where I had a throbbing headache and I was not able to utter even a single word. Unable to understand exactly what was happening, I was soon rushed to the hospital and a number of tests were done. The reports showed that I had swelling in my brain in the left parietal lobe, the part of the brain that is responsible for language. As a social researcher, that means a lot for me. I was writing about development policies and now I had lost command over my language. It has been over two months now and I am doing better but I have not fully recovered yet. I still get confused with words, digits and directions. I get nervous while talking to new people in person. A lot of friends try to contact me over the phone but it still really makes me feel scared to talk over the phone with anyone.
All that being said I want to thank the Universe! Despite not being fully recovered, my doctor feels that I am recovering well. I am thankful to my colleagues who were there throughout. I am thankful to my family who took care of me and are very supportive all the time. I am thankful to my friends who were tolerant of my mood swings. Many of them came to visit me as well. I am thankful to my organization for the paid leaves I am getting and also making me feel that my job is still secured despite this illness. There are a number of people I want to thank but it is not possible to name everyone here.
I have no doubt that the Universe is healing me and I will soon get back to being totally normal and healthy! Magic it is!
