The Universe Does Give You What You Want!

BhubaneswarA dreamer.
This is not the first time The Secret has impacted my life. Many times in my life I have applied The Secret, the law of attraction and gratitude to achieve my goals. But, this time it gave me goosebumps.
I wasn’t exactly happy with my job but I somehow carried on thinking things might change soon. I helped my new boss get himself set up in the department initially. When I told him my problem and what I needed to improve to have job satisfaction, he was overly enthusiastic and promised he would help. I was delighted, thankful.
Then I had an interview for my contract renewal for my current job. My boss was on the panel. Happily I went to face the panel and that’s when I got the biggest shock of my life. I was grilled and humiliated by my boss. I was told that because I have a kid, I can’t concentrate on my job. They said my CV was too poor to fit in with the institute. I was at a loss of words! Nevertheless, I told them that if my CV was too poor for this place, I would try at better places. The panelists started mocking me and one of them asked me to watch a movie on how women are capable of achieving so many things. I was shattered. I cried my heart out and that’s when I decided that I don’t need this job.
I was depressed. I felt I was stuck. I complained that this was not what I wanted. I didn’t do any harm to anyone so why am I not getting any other job offers, why me? I had several sleepless nights.
Then one day before going to bed, I had a vision. I saw my God smiling at me and I could feel his words “Sabka Malik ek” or that God is one. I calmed down. I thanked the almighty for the vision. I consoled myself, yes God is one and he knows me.
The next few weeks were going to be magnificent for me. It started when after a few days I got a call letter from one of the premier institutes of the country. It was for a regular government job with a higher salary than what I had been getting. I had applied to this post almost 1.5 years back and had lost hope that I would be invited. I was excited! I have a small kid and my spouse couldn’t accompany me for the interview so I had to travel alone. Gradually everything fell into place, my parents agreed to come to take care of my kid while I faced the interview. Before the interview, I thanked the panelists for the opportunity. I prepared well and gave my best.
Within a week, I got a call for the second round of interviews. I was thrilled! I decided to inform my boss now. He was shocked but nevertheless, spoke to me as if I would not get the job anyway. So I prepared harder this time and I was determined to give it my best shot. I thanked all my well-wishers and I thanked my boss and colleagues for giving me the push I needed.
Soon came the second round interview. The interview lasted for 10 minutes and I had to wait for only 1.5 hours for my turn. I was thankful to God that I could go back to my kid and spend the rest of the day with my family.
Two days later I was congratulated for my new job! I asked the Universe for a good job and I received it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
