The thought wormhole
Ever had a thought or image strike you while you’re watching a TV show, or reading a book or something? Some little thing that is said or an image you see that grabs a hold of you, and you have a personal epiphany? This is what this story is about.
I was watching a show about black holes/wormholes in space. The narrator had noted that scientists believe there are lots of microscopic black holes opening and closing all the time around us (must be where socks and pens go!). If you know anything about black holes you know that their gravity or pull is far greater than their size would indicate. The hole is believed by some to be a shortcut between vast distances or even times, which if you remember from The Secret – the Universe will always take the shortest and best possible route if you get out of its way.
And then it just hit me. When we think a thought, we open a little, tiny wormhole to the future. If we continue to think similar thoughts and especially when we add emotion to it, we strengthen that wormhole until it becomes the path to our future. Now I don’t know if there is any factual basis to this idea, but to me it makes sense. This idea of the thought wormhole provides me with a powerful visual image to use when I am consciously visualizing. I literally picture my vision snaking its way through a wormhole, carving out the shortest and best path for me to that goal.
