In early 2008 I had just celebrated 21 years and suddenly something started telling me I should leave my country and go seek opportunities elsewhere in Europe. I was living in Slovenia at that time.

The first time I saw The Secret movie was late 2007. I had a decent job in electro-maintenance in a big company, but I just wanted a change.

About two months after I watched The Secret, I packed my bags and was ready to leave the country with my car the very next day, but my dad stopped me. He said he wasn’t ready for that and asked me to rethink and wait at least a month. So I went back to work the next day, I had not even quit my job yet!

The whole day I was nervous and anxious about leaving and then I suddenly remembered! There was a painter who painted our house and had moved to Finland! I called my mom and asked her if she still happens to have his phone number. She had it! I called the guy and his Slovenian number was still working!! I asked him if there was any workplaces open in Finland and he just said he will ask his boss about it.

The next day he called me back. He said a strange thing happened. He had no intention whatsoever to ask his boss about me, but his boss asked him if there was anyone else from Slovenia who would like to come to work for him!!

That blew my mind open. I remembered The Secret and smiled.

I had to wait a month before going there. I booked my flight and it was a straight flight. The first year ever that there was a straight flight!

When I arrived, I had my workplace ready, apartment all set, everything went so smooth I just couldn’t believe it.

To this day I’m still living in Finland and I love it! I’ve switched jobs too. When I arrived, it was just about 3 months after seeing The Secret for the first time. Magical 3 months!! Thank you to The Secret for changing my life!!
