In the start of 2012 I thought to myself, this is going to be the best year! Little did I know that the start of my year would not be the greatest time for me. I had just got excepted into a new school with 2 of my best friends. I was madly in love with this boy who I thought was my everything.

So as the year started things started to get bad, I was so hung up on my new guy that I forget to make new friends at my new school, I started ditching school to see this boy who was older and who my parents didn’t like me seeing. I started fighting with my best friend, and started going out and partying every weekend. Not long into the year, the boy who I thought was in love with me, cheated on me with his ex girl friend. I was shattered, but stupidly enough I forgave him and took him back, everything started to go well with him again until a couple of months after, he cheated on me again and this time left me for another girl. I was so hurt and depressed I started turning to food for comfort.

I then remembered my Aunty who swore by this book, The Secret. I wanted to read this! And watch the movie so that’s what I did. I would sit on Google for hours learning about The Secret, and I made this work. I would sit there on my iPhone each night and type in things I wanted to happen in life, and how I wanted my life to be like. I wanted a caring boyfriend and lots of friends, to be popular and to lose weight. I did this for months, but the thing that I did the most was jump for opportunities. Whether it was to meet new friends or a nice boy.

Well things started happening, I made so many new friends at my school, and I met a boy who was nice, but then in the end turned out to hurt me. Then there was another boy, then another. Each boy actually made me stronger and wiser. Finally I met that one special boy who turns out to be the nicest boy I’ve ever met. We are now happy together, and I’ve currently lost a lot of weight, but there’s still more to go. Can’t wait to reach my goal weight.
