The Secret Saved My Son’s Life.
Submitted by: Anne
Manchester, EnglandVery happily engaged, 46 year old mum, with two amazing children.
I have always tried to think positive and be an optimistic person.
My son was a normal, if a little bit shy, young boy. He loved school, was a very clever boy, was great at sports and had lots of friends. He always loved being outdoors and playing out with his friends.
Fast forward to when he was 12 and myself and my partner had split up. He took it really badly and over the coming months transformed into being very reclusive, angry and full of anxiety. It got so bad he would panic at having to go anywhere new and only went to and from school. I tried to get through to him, to invite his friends around but he would act all weird and uncomfortable. I took him to the doctors, I felt desperate, sad and very afraid. It took me three visits before the doctors would refer him to the local child psychologists unit.
Over the next few years he had to have cognitive behavioral therapy. Social anxiety was diagnosed and I was told, border line Aspergers. Nothing seemed to be working and apart from school, he wouldn’t go out. 6th form college was looming and I was desperate for him to go, but he was petrified of everything, even having to travel on a bus made him physically sick.
He then said he wanted to die. He said that what was the point of living, and that he would never be able to speak to people he didn’t know, etc. They then prescribed anti depressants as the situation was getting worse.
I was searching online for anything that would help me and stumbled on The Secret. I kept imagining him going to college, getting on the bus etc.
Within a couple of weeks of reading the book, he was able to travel with his friend on the bus and attend college. It felt like a miracle. I was on my knees with gratitude. During the next two years I continued to read The Power, The Magic and now Hero.
The best news ever is, I bought him The Secret To Teen Power and finally six months ago, he read it and everything got better and better for him. He has been accepted to Manchester University to start his degree in September and next week he is going to his first gig in town with his friends.
I thank Rhonda Byrne and The Secret Team every day of my life for saving my son and giving him the life he deserves. Everybody, whatever your problem, never, never give up. Life is truly amazing. xxxx
