The Secret Impoved My Life
It all started when I was younger. I used to be a very negative person and thanks to the law of attraction, this would attract even more negative things in my life.
I read and re-read The Secret, and it was like a light popped into my head.
I started using it. At first it seemed to work only sometimes. Then I realized what I was missing was grattitude.
I started being grateful for everything in my life, for loving and understanding parents that supported me in my dream to get a college education, for having a good and funny brother, for having a grandmother that helped do the bulk of the housework (even though I feel guilty about that sometimes).
I’m starting to feel good about myself.
The only thing that’s left is getting to my ideal weight. I’m trying to tell myself that I can eat anything I want and get to my ideal weight, but sometimes I eat too much. Practicing that food is a plate of gratitude really helps me to not overeat.
One thing The Secret helped me with is that I asked God/the Universe that when my dog was soon going to die, that I get to spend time with her and she got to be with the family. I felt love and imagined this happening and thought about how appreciative I would be. Like my mother, I didn’t want my dog to die alone. And even though the event was really sad, my dog was surrounded by me, my mother and my brother when she passed away.
I tried to imagine getting checks in the mail. That same day or the very next, my mother got a check for about $17 from an unknown company and asked if it was for me. I honestly replied “no” and almost shared with her The Secret, but something held me back.
I’m even doing better in school with a more positive attitude and things seem easier. I’m working harder, though, I really want the best grades possible, especially for the rest of the semester. The Secret made me realized how powerful my imagination was/is.
I also wanted to make some new friends and I get along with every friendly person in one of my classes. In the other one, I laugh (and of course, pay attention and do my best), but I seem to be getting everything I really, really want.
Thank you, Rhonda and The Secret team, for helping me turn my life around.
