I have always been a staunch believer in the principles of The Secret, even before I read the book. It has worked for me numerous times. It has worked for me starting from getting a phone call to getting the best job, the house that I currently live in… everything. And there I was all ready to order a new wish from the Universe… So here goes the story…

It was almost two years that my promotion was due at my work, despite the fact that I have always worked so hard and was always recommended by my seniors. However this year I made up my mind that I have to get this long awaited promotion and substantial salary hike.

I was recently shifted to a new project (I had asked for that too, and my prayers were indeed answered) but since I was new there my manager was reluctant to give me a promotion as I have not spent considerable time with them in the whole year. Logically that was incorrect because the company policies also agree to that performance for the entire year.

For a while I lost hope over it and thought that maybe this year would also go without any substantial progress. While I was dwelling in my depression something reminded me of The Secret… and I thought that whatsoever the conditions or situations are, I am going to get promoted. Somehow it’s going to happen. I don’t know how…?

Not many hours passed by, and suddenly I got a mail from my previous manager that they have passed their reviews for my performance to my existing manager and have suggested him to promote me, as they think that I highly deserve that. I was in a state of shock and happiness together for a while… I just couldn’t believe that the Universe would respond so fast 🙂 I knew THE SECRET had already started working for me, all I have to do now is keep up the good spirits and keep believing in it and just prepare myself to receive the end results 🙂 I decided immediately on the designation that I will have, and the money – 5 lakhs INR. I did exactly the same as suggested in the book, I started imagining how would I thank my manager when he would pass on the news to me about the promotion and salary hike. I could imagine my gestures, my dress, our conversation, my happiness at every moment. The thought was so amazing and real. Since then I relived the same moment again and again. It was so real that every time I imagined it I could feel the tears of joy in my eyes. I was just overwhelmed.

I prepared a huge list of the things that I would invest in after getting the amount… about the car that we are soon going to buy… About a vacation that I would take.

And finally the D day arrived. My manager called me to hand over the compensation letter to me. I am sure all you believers know what would have happened 🙂 My manager revealed that I have been promoted (to the same designation that I have imagined) and I have got the exact salary hike that I have wished for (Rs 5 lakhs) .

And believe me or not I was wearing the same dress that day that I had seen me wearing while imagining it. My manager thanked for my hard work in the same words as in my imagination.

At times I thank God that he has sent us with such a powerful thing, each one of us is actually a body with immense power, which would make anything possible for you… yes, ANYTHING.
