The Power of The Secret
Submitted by: Alan M.
New York, NY47 year old Scot, who studied in London and has worked all over the world, including South Africa, Hong Kong and Switzerland. Recently relocated to New York to take up a new and exciting job running a global healthcare business. Has a wonderful partner of 10 years and 2 fabulous sons, aged 10 and 11 who live at our home in Cape Town.
Despite many successes in my life, I have also experienced many challenges; mainly with addictions, but also with lack of self-confidence, or even worth. I have had very challenging relationships and often felt out of control. Often I would mask my unhappiness with work success and over indulgence, which lead to more feelings of self-loathing and depression. Underneath all of this however, I have always been a kind, considerate and open person, looking for the good in every person and situation. I had just had so many blows, that I could not let that amazing, caring person come out from the shadows that towered over my life.
My wonderful coach and teacher, Christa, introduced me to The Secret and it almost immediately transformed my life. The relationship issues, which I feared would end our beautiful family, started to resolve and I started loving myself as well as all the other incredible people in my life. I started to practice visualization and gratitude exercises every day and the transformation in my life has been extraordinary. Work started to go better, I received a promotion to a very senior role, well before I had expected. I received numerous additional financial benefits and started to meet and enjoy the company of new and wonderful friends. My relationship improved and our two boys are flourishing in all their school and athletics programs.
A very tangible example of how The Secret worked for me happened just a couple of weeks ago. I had been waiting for a long time to get approval for my work visa to the US. After almost 50 days it was starting to become very difficult, from a work and personal point of view, not to be able to travel and work in the US. I realized that I had been focusing on “not getting my visa” and “the delay and bureaucracy surrounding my visa application”. I changed my focus and started to give thanks and be happy about having my visa and living and working in New York. I did this on a Saturday afternoon (the same day as a I started to read “The Power” by Rhonda Byrne). On Monday morning the embassy sent me an email to say the visa was approved, please come and pick up your passport!! This new, exciting chapter of my life began.
I have given many of my family and friends copies of the Secret both the book and the DVD. I will certainly be following that up with copies of “The Power”.
Thank you so much to Rhonda and The Secret team. You have transformed my life and millions of others too. Bless you,
Alan
