The power of a positive Vision

AustraliaI'm a mother of 3, who loves to take on challenges, I work in the building industry doing renovations, refurbishents and decorating.
Last year my husband and I lost everything. We lost our home, we lost our buisness, and he also became very ill. I was about to give up, but being pregnant with a third child I was not going to let things get on top of me. My husband, my greatest supporter, kept on saying ‘things will turn around’, but they only got worse. He kept on saying, ‘you have worked for multi national companies and made everyone else rich, you can do it, I believe in you’. The trouble was I didn’t believe in myself.
Then it happened – my husband got very ill and was on heavy medication, he could no longer run the business, control the work, or help in any way. It was basically a do or die situation. I knew I couldn’t go back to work as I was expecting a baby and my husband was relying on me. So I watched The Secret. At this point my house was about to get repossessed, my husband’s buisness had fallen apart, and we had no income for about 6 months. And everything changed.
I kept a diary and made a point to reflect at the end of the day and find ten things to be grateful for. I couldn’t believe how kind people were. I also came up with a plan and put it into action. It now seems that my buisness each month is doubling, I never thought it was possible. I’ve had a few disasters along the way, and I’ve met people that I never want to deal with again, but I’m grateful as they have taught me life lessons, they have taught me to appreciate success, and they have given me strength.
Each day is bringing in a new challenge, and with each challenge a new lesson is being learned, which can only contribute to my overall sucsess.
I come from a very negative family, where you accept what is happening and you go with the flow. I refuse to accept things – I want to make things happen. One lesson I have learnt is if you can see it, you can make it happen.
I work in a male dominated industry and I have managed to turn it around to my advantage, and I love it. I love being me. And as for my buisness, it can only get bigger.
