Delhi, IndiaI'm 16 years old... And incredibly happy now that I know The Secret.
My parents sent me to a prestigious boarding school for the eleventh and twelth grade on 4th April, 2012. I didn’t want to go, but I had to, since my father is at a high position in the State Bank of India, which is a transferable job. At that time, the possibility of a transfer was remote; so my parents decided to send me to this school, which specially prepares students for AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test). I want to become a neurosurgeon, so this seemed the best option.
When I arrived in the school, I didn’t like staying in the dormitories at all. Around early-mid May, I made a vision board and wrote on it that my dad got a transfer, and they took me out of the hostel on 1st June, 2012, and into our New Delhi home, only 15 minutes away from the school I was attending. I pasted a small calendar on the board, a countdown to 1st June… More or less.
Everyday I imagined, believed and told myself that everything would be perfect on 1st June, 2012, when I would finally be with my parents in our new Delhi home. I packed all my items in preparation of the shift to my new home. Meanwhile, there still was no progress regarding my dad’s transfer. I was getting more and more agitated everyday, but I replaced the fear and the sadness by thinking about how I would be with my parents on 1st June.
Finally, as 1st June is today, I woke up feeling extremely happy as it was “The Day”. I had already packed everything up. I was just waiting for my parents to come. I imagined them coming to take me into our new home. My mother called me up in the mid-afternoon angrily, calling me an”idiot” since I was all excited about how my daddy would be transferred when nothing had happened. My daddy sent me a similar message, advising me to “stay in touch with reality”.
I was really disheartened by all of this, but I shook their words off and concentrated on believing that I was indeed going home today. I Googled up the flight schedule from Guwahati to Delhi. There were only two flights left to go to Delhi today. I fit their departure times in my alarm clock and waited in suspense. I played the imagined scenario in my mind over and over again, where my parents would come to take me home today.
Miraculously, my daddy received a call from one of the staff in the transfer department saying that he had been transferred to Delhi that very day. They also gave my parents tickets to the Delhi flight that still had to leave the airport in Guwahati.
Tears of joy and gratitude are still streaming down my face as my parents have left from Guwahati and are arriving to take me away from this boarding school right now. It’s still 1st June!
Thank you SO MUCH for the help, The Secret. You’ve proved it that you can certainly make impossible things manifest out of the blue, when you do everything in your power to make them happen.
