The Message Of The Secret For Children.
Submitted by: jane yates
United KingdomI am a dyslexic author, who did not start writing books until the age of 50.
I am a huge fan of The Secret, which was introduced to me by my youngest daughter. As it happened the same time I was introduced to it in the film, a friend had also given me a copy of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, which she wrote over a hundred years ago. As I was learning about The Secret and reading The Secret garden book I could see the same message appearing.
I had written three YA books about Steampunk and I thought that if I could bring this book and it’s message of hope and transforming yourself from ill to well again as the boy did in the story, that would be good. I added a modern twist and more detail and mystery. I kept the same self growth and bonds of friendship and magic.
Everything fell into place and a wonderful British poet edited the book for me and poured all his own money into getting it published. Then an acclaimed actress contacted him and offered to read it as an audiobook on Audible. She was just perfect. Just about everyone who read or listened to my new book, which I called Garden, loved it.
I have two actors who would like to be in the film. I know there will be a film and the message of The Secret will reach millions. I am just not sure how yet. However I do believe that if there was a film of my book it would help spread the message of The Secret to a wider range of people, and especially children.
In my book, the children materialize rain, discover trust and believe in themselves. They see the great beauty of the sky and unravel the magic and find solace in a garden.

I am so grateful for this book and for all the belief in my writing and for the message of hope it brings. I am so grateful for the audio and film of The Secret, as it has helped me so much while I was writing and for always afterwards.
Thank you!
Jane
