The magic of gratitude

Chicago, ILEngaged, grateful, and very happy.
I’m very grateful that Rhonda Byrne’s books came into my life. I realized that I’ve always applied the law of attraction in my life even if I didn’t fully understand what it was. Visualizations and gratitude always work, and my faith becomes stronger every time.
My recent experience started when my on-off boyfriend of 5 years told me that he is seeing someone else. We were not officially together at this time but were working on our issues with plans to get back together. Instead of blowing up on him, I told him we will talk the next day.
That night, I made a list of everything that I’m grateful for about him and all of our happy experiences together. I read the list over and over while holding my gratitude rock. I kept saying “thank you thank you thank you” like he was right there in front of me. I was also visualizing the two of us living happily together, and raising a family. Before I fell asleep that night, I held my gratitude rock and said “thank you for choosing me. I love you forever.” The next evening, he texted me saying “that girl I told you about yesterday, it didn’t work out.”
That was the first miracle. We went ahead with our plan to go to our friends’ wedding the following weekend. We had a great time at the wedding. We chatted with our old friends, we danced together the whole time, and we kissed. We didn’t talk about our issue, we just enjoyed ourselves all night. The next morning, he told me he is in love with me and only wants a future with me. He apologized for his mistake and asked if we can try again, and this time it’s for real. Of course, I said yes.
We moved in together couple of weeks after that. We are so happy together and our kids get along very well. We both have a child from a previous relationship. I love his daughter like my own and he loves my son more than a real Dad. He proposed to me three months after that, on my birthday, while having a special dinner that he prepared.
We are now planning an intimate wedding and we couldn’t be happier. I’m very, very grateful for all the blessings in my life and I hope my story brought love, faith, inspiration, and hope. Thank you. 🙂
