The Magic Did The Magic

ChennaiI am a simple girl living a life full of magic ;)
Thank you, thank you, thank you Rhonda for bringing out The Magic.
It has been a life changer for me. It has actually shown it’s magic within the period of 28 days. For those who don’t know about The Magic, it is the third book by Rhonda which we have to read over a period of 28 days and do one different gratitude activity every day.
Now let me start my story.
Is starts from last year. I am working in an MNC as a tester. There are two types of testing- manual and automation. Automation testing is more valued and has more market value but I was into manual testing from August 2012, the time i joined the project.
I wanted to move to automation so I went to my manager and told him that I want to do automation, please consider me if any opportunity comes. He is a very good person so he told me that the chances of getting an automation project in our account is very remote as our client won’t shell out much money. He also told me that since I am so interested in automation, he will talk to a few other managers and see if he can find an automation project for me. But sadly there was no requirement. I also tried through my contacts but even I couldn’t find any project in automation.
After a few months, very unexpectedly a mobile automation project came into our account and one experienced lady came to do it. I told her that I was also interested in automation so she told me about a few links on google that I could use to learn automation. I did the same.
In April this year, I came to know that there is a requirement in mobile automation for a trainee level resource. I am a trainee, so I asked my team leader to consider me for that, but that was not possible as I was already into manual testing and they couldn’t shift me to automation like that.
So I felt a little jealous of the other trainee girl who got the mobile automation project.
During this time, I was reading The Magic. And when this incident happened I came across two gratitude practices called “Magnificent Outcomes” and “Cue The Magic”.
1) For Magnificent Outcomes I wrote on a paper: Thank you for the magnificent outcome to the mobile automation project.
2) For Cue The Magic instead of feeling jealous of that girl, I started saying thank you for my perfect career whenever I saw her.
3) I started thanking for my present profile, thank you that I am into manual testing, I love my present job
This Friday, the first phase of my manual project was over, and from Monday phase 2 had to start!!!!!
But I don’t know what happened, how it happened, but on Friday, my team leader and the lady who is in to automation came to my desk and told me that “Nishtha, you have to work in automation project on Monday”.
I was HAPPY and SURPRISED, I was MORE THAN HAPPY, and just couldn’t believe how it all happened but I got what I wanted!
And as it is written in The Secret, the HOW is not our part, all we have to think is WHAT we want and the universe will align itself to do the HOW part.
It is a complete miracle. I witnessed a major manifestation of The Secret, The Magic, the law of attraction.
I still remember the day when my manager told me that the possibility of getting an automation project is remote.
But today is completely different.
Today is beautiful.
Today has what I wanted and all this happened only because I believed in it, I believed in The secret, The magic and the law of attraction.
And one best thing: when I got to know that I will be moved to automation, just one day before that I had finished reading The Magic and on the next day I got this great news!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for The Magic! 🙂
