LOA Gave Me More Than Desired

My story is pretty long but I’m going to keep it short lol. The Secret was screaming at me for a while before I decided to really pay attention. First time around I saw the movie and thought it was ridiculous, second time someone mentioned it to me, I just told them it was crazy, and third time… now that’s when I paid attention.
I was working talking to one of my friends complaining about my life, my ex-boyfriend… This lady walks in on us, she was a customer. She says “I’m sorry to interrupt, but I wouldn’t listen to your friend if I were you.” She continued by telling me that I have the power to change my life with my thoughts, that she changed her life by being grateful, not just saying thank you but really meaning it. She told me that life is easier than what people make it sound like. I told her that it was easy to say when you’re not in my position and she responded with “I was once upon a time. I lived in that town I didn’t have anything because I didn’t believe in myself, I had to start by loving myself.”
So she told me to write down affirmations and things I was grateful for and to read them every morning and night, that soon I’ll believe them because it was true if I wanted them to be true. At the end of this conversation she told me what helped her change her life was a book name The Secret. I was in shock lol. I told myself I was going to do this because if what she said was true, then I was attracting that positive change. Sooo I started and I went from a girl working in the fitting room of a retail store with no car or a place of her own, not even a high school degree, to having a car, an apartment a better paying job at a bill collecting agency and going to college! How in the world you ask?? I believed! It wasn’t easy at times because sometimes I used to think about how I was going to get there and what if I didn’t have enough money or time for my daughter, but I kept acting as if which was fun, and I kept a journal, I still do. And I told myself it’s possible because I said so and here l am a year later. When you have a positive attitude you are opening your eyes to the opportunities and when your attitude is negative you only see obstacles. God bless her, I thank god everyday for her and I share this with my friends too. Might seem like a lot of work at first but it’s worth it.
