I am writing to The Secret to tell you how much it has changed my life in the space of two years. I am a girl aged 27, and two years ago, my dad killed himself. At that point, I decided I had to leave Scotland and Glasgow. I wanted a break and there was nothing holding me there. I was qualified in my profession and had a trade; I was a barber and a men’s hairstylist.

I traveled to Cyprus and started a business from scratch. I was very successful working seven days a week for the summer. When the summer was over, I traveled to Thailand. I was on a sleeper train going from island to island, and a storm hit Thailand that caused us to be stuck on the train for 16 hours. The smell was so bad; people were sick. I curled in a ball and read The Secret for the first time. The floods were so bad that houses were floating away, and babies were carrying babies to safety. There was no water.

I sat and thought positive thoughts until we were taken to dry land and safety. When I got back to Bangkok, I booked a flight back home and realized what I had in my life. I came back home two months later. I passed my driving test, opened a shop, and six months after I opened that shop, I opened another shop worth 50 thousand pounds. I am just about to pay that off.

Every day, I live by The Secret, and every day is a positive lesson. I fought depression, and I am on the road to success at the age of 27. I just want to say thank you so very much to Rhonda Byrne and the Universe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
