My story isn’t really that great as the others are, but I hope that in some way, it may inspire someone to continue believing in their goals though at times it may take a little longer than expected.

After watching and reading The Secret, I tried my best to really put into heart all the things I have learned from it. When I found out that there was a Secret tool, which was The Gratitude Book, I immediately went to Powerbooks to see if they were selling it already. Luckily, I was able to buy one. I followed the indicated steps in order to use it more effectively.

During the period in which I was writing all the things I am grateful for in that book, I thought to myself that it would be better if I had great music to listen to while writing all those things I am grateful for, and then it hit me. I want an iPod! I set a goal for myself that the week was not going to end without me having an iPod – even an iPod Shuffle will do. I really believed in myself that, in one way or another, I would achieve it. I even downloaded all the music I wanted in advance.

One day my cousin and I suddenly started discussing about iPods, and then he told me that he was selling his, since he already had the iPod Touch. I was so glad to know this! My heart was really jumping at that time! And so he said that he was selling it for only 5000 pesos! I asked him if it would be okay if I could pay 2500 for the month of June and another 2500 for the month of July. And by the Grace of God, he agreed! Now, not only did I get an iPod Shuffle rather an iPod Classic! It was in great condition and he even gave me accessories for free!
