I had a hard time growing up between addiction and past trauma. I was really struggling. I read The Secret when I was 18, and it changed my life forever. I, of course, made a vision board with everything I wanted. Within that year I met my birth mom, got on a reality TV show, escaped where I was living, and moved to Florida to start over.

I had a really good life in my 20s and when I turned 30, I decided to pursue acting full time and I moved to Los Angeles. I was doing really well and then the coronavirus hit and a lot of past anxiety and negative thought patterns I used to have about myself came back. A lot of self-doubt as well.

Then, the best thing ever happened. I found out through a podcast that “The Greatest Secret” had come out. I read half of it the first night I got it and literally, the anxiety and worry were wiped from my brain. For me, it is a work in progress, something I am getting better at each day.

However, the day after I read The Greatest Secret, I received 7 auditions! I am not joking. Literally 7 acting auditions. I also booked a commercial that paid pretty well. I had previously been telling myself a false narrative that I was no good and I wasn’t going to get auditions ever again. Which was crazy, I know.

Now, I cannot wait to see what the future holds. Every day is a gift and I’m learning to stop believing my mind and start taking back power over my life.
